Family Harmony Programme

Our Family Harmony Programme supports harmonious relationships and behaviour change. It can be run as a Faka-tonga’ or Pasifika intervention in Tongan or English.

How does the Family Harmony Programme work?

Our Family Harmony Programme is therapy that is delivered in a sensitive and culturally appropriate way in conjunction with Oranga Tamariki. It runs for 12-weeks and is designed to promote harmonious relationships within the whānau.

Some of the steps that might be followed include:

  • Assessing the whānau needs and goals
  • liaising with Oranga Tamariki and others as required
  • safety planning
  • home visits involving whānau and individual therapy, meetings, and weekly family therapy sessions

During the Family Harmony Programme, our goal is to become a supportive extended family – we are available to the whānau when they need us.

Our team are qualified counsellors and experienced group therapy leaders. This programme can be run as a Faka-tonga’ or Pasifika intervention in Tongan or English language.
